Get Rid of the error : The ‘Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0’ provider is not registered on the local machine / The ‘Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.16.0’ provider is not registered on the local machine

Yeah , yeah. You are not able to install 32bit/64bit ACE.OLEDB driver both. You can only install the version which you installed your Office.

As a developer it stops you to use the other.

No , there is a back door.

Simply install it from the command prompt with /quite option.

I found solution on https://datasavvy.me/2017/07/20/installing-the-microsoft-ace-oledb-12-0-provider-for-both-64-bit-and-32-bit-processing/

thanks to Meagan.

  1. Open the command prompt.
  2. Type the file path and file name for your Access Database Engine install file.
  3. Follow it with a space and then “/passive” ( or “/quite” for 16) and then hit Enter.
