Azure VM Stop status difference

Keep in mind that if you stop your VM on Azure via RDP it doesn’t stop charging. If you shut down inside VM then its status will be Stopped

You have to stop it from Azure portal to avoid extra charges. Then its status will be Stopped-deallocated
